AI QR Code Scanner is designed to work without an account and without tracking you. This page explains the small amount of data the app touches, where it lives, and the controls you have over it.
Scans you perform and QR codes you create are saved locally in a SwiftData database on your iPhone. That database does not leave your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud Sync (see below).
If you turn on Settings → Privacy → iCloud Sync, your history and created codes are replicated to your own iCloud account using CloudKit. We never see that data. You can turn sync off at any time; doing so stops future replication but does not delete data already in your iCloud.
When you scan a URL, AI QR Code Scanner can check it against Google's Safe Browsing service to warn you about known malicious links. The check sends only the URL, and is disabled if you have no network connection. We do not log these lookups.
If you buy AI QR Pro, Apple handles the transaction through the App Store. We receive the anonymous StoreKit receipt that tells the app which tier you own; we do not receive your payment method or name.
The camera is used only to decode codes. Frames are processed in memory and discarded. If you scan from your photo library, the picked image is read once and not copied out of the app.
AI QR Code Scanner is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.
