1. Introduction

Make My Day ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS productivity app developed by Akash mangukiya. We take your privacy seriously and have built the app from day one to keep your personal data on your device, under your control.

This policy describes what data the app handles, how it's stored, and your rights as a user.

2. What we collect (and what we don't)

Personal data we DO NOT collect

Anonymous data we collect

DataPurposeSource
App usage events (e.g. screen_view, task_completed, paywall_viewed) Understand which features are used and where users get stuck so we can improve them Firebase Analytics
Crash reports (stack trace, iOS version, device model — no personal data) Find and fix bugs that affect real users Firebase Crashlytics (if enabled)
Subscription status (Pro / free) Unlock the right features in the app and report aggregate conversion to ourselves Apple StoreKit (handled by Apple)

None of this data is linked to a personal identifier. Firebase generates an anonymous installation ID that we cannot tie back to any individual.

Free version & advertising. The free version of the app shows ads through Google AdMob. With your permission (Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt) AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show and measure ads. This is covered in detail in section 7. Make My Day Pro removes all ads.

3. How your data is stored

All of the content you create in Make My Day — tasks, reminders, habits, transactions, notes, settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to:

4. Analytics & crash reporting

We use Google's Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to detect crashes. These services collect anonymous, aggregated data only:

Firebase's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

You can disable analytics from inside the app: Settings → Privacy → Analytics. Disabling it will not affect any feature.

5. Purchases & subscriptions

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Apple via the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple sends us only the subscription status (active / cancelled / expired) and the product ID (e.g. com.makemyday.pro.yearly).

For details on how Apple handles your purchase data, see Apple's App Store privacy disclosure.

6. Device permissions

The app requests these permissions only when you use the relevant feature. Denying any permission disables only that one feature — every other part of the app keeps working.

PermissionWhat it powersRequired?
NotificationsTask and reminder alerts, habit nudges, special-day remindersOptional, recommended

7. Sharing, third parties & advertising

We do not sell your personal data. Apart from the analytics and crash-reporting providers listed in section 4, the only third party we share data with is our advertising provider.

Advertising (free version). The free version of Make My Day is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure those ads, AdMob may collect and process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), a coarse (city-level) location inferred from your IP address, and ad-interaction data. We share no other information with AdMob.

Your choice. On first launch the app asks, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether ads may use your advertising identifier. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Remove ads. Purchasing any Make My Day Pro plan removes all ads — the ad SDK is not even initialized for Pro users.

For details on AdMob's data practices, see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

8. Children's privacy

Make My Day is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and has had data collected, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Your rights

Because we don't store your personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct on your behalf — your data is on your device, in your control. You can:

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced via an in-app notification before they take effect.
