1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DocuMind mobile application ("App") provided by DocuMind ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

DocuMind is a document management application that provides:

• PDF viewing, editing, and annotation
• Document scanning with OCR text recognition
• AI-powered document analysis (summarize, translate, extract, chat)
• PDF tools (convert, merge, split, sign, watermark, protect, etc.)
• Document organization and storage

3. User Accounts & API Keys

Some AI features require you to provide your own API keys from third-party providers (Anthropic, OpenAI). By using these features:

• You are responsible for obtaining and managing your own API keys.
• You agree to comply with the terms of service of the respective AI providers.
• You are responsible for any charges incurred through your API keys.
• We are not liable for any issues arising from third-party AI services.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

DocuMind offers both free and premium (Pro) tiers:

• Free Tier: Includes basic features with daily usage limits (3 scans/day, 5 AI chats/day, limited AI tools).
• Pro Subscription: Unlocks all features, unlimited usage, and removes watermarks.

Subscription details:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.
• Prices may vary by region and are subject to change with notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DocuMind to:

• Process, store, or distribute illegal content or documents.
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others.
• Forge, alter, or manipulate documents for fraudulent purposes.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Circumvent any security features or usage limitations.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, icons, and content, is the intellectual property of DocuMind and is protected by copyright and other laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or business purposes.

Your documents remain your property. We claim no ownership over any content you create, scan, or process using DocuMind.

7. Document Processing

DocuMind processes documents locally on your device. You are solely responsible for:

• The legality and ownership of documents you process.
• Maintaining backups of your important documents.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws when processing documents containing personal information.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

DocuMind is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• OCR results will be 100% accurate.
• AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or appropriate.
• The App will meet all your specific requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocuMind shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

10. AI-Generated Content

AI features (summarization, translation, chat, etc.) are powered by third-party AI models. The output may contain inaccuracies or errors. You should:

• Review all AI-generated content before relying on it.
• Not use AI outputs as legal, medical, or financial advice.
• Understand that AI responses are generated content, not professional opinions.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
